Apple is preparing for WWDC 2022 (Apple Worldwide Developers Conference), one of the year's most important tech events, where it is expected to announce the next iPhone.

The tech behemoth will also release the next software update, iOS 16, which is expected to include a slew of new features. According to recent rumours, iOS 16 will have new features including enhanced locks, as well as exiting updates for first-party apps like Health and Messages.

According to the source, the forthcoming iOS will include notifications enhancements as well as new iPad multitasking features.

Apple appears to be considering integrating the Today View portion on the left of the homescreen with its widget lineup and making it into a full lockscreen.

According to reports, iOS 16 will include a 'Always-On' display functionality similar to what is seen on Apple Watch. While this functionality has been available on Android smartphones for some time, it would be interesting to see how Apple implements it in iOS 16.

Apple WWDC 2022 will begin on June 6 and will be aired live for Apple fans all around the world. Thousands of people attend Apple's annual tech conference, when the company unveils new looks, frameworks, and improvements to its products.

Aside from iOS, Apple is expected to provide updates for iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.
